Asser, a young Egyptian man from Alexandria, returns from working abroad to find that his city has changed. Old buildings that once shaped the city are being demolished and replaced with ugly high rises that, because of corruption, are collapsing and killing citizens. Asser decides to wander around Alexandria, taking photographs to save what remains of the city as a memory.
