A group of elderly ladies usually go on trips together. Their sisterhood and solidarity is stunning. We see them heading towards the fishermen’s village at Elmax in Alexandria to spend the day; the poor fishermen have nested their houses along the water canal and earn their livelihood from fishing. The film documents their lives through the eyes of the elderly ladies, who sprinkle the place with joy and laughter, hence making it more beautiful. No wonder that despite its poverty the place is known as “Venice” to those hearts which throb with love for life.
