Aya, a lively 10-year-old girl, is a domestic worker in a small house in the medina of Casablanca. Locked away from the world, she takes care of the household duties. In spite of her situation, the child inside her resurfaces on a daily basis. Roguish, intelligent, and funny, Aya manages to find happiness even in her reclusion. As the Aïd feast approaches, Aya dreams of going home.
