Majok, an illegal Sudanese immigrant, only feels at ease among the cows in the vast open plains. He sleeps on a bench behind the house of Jakob, an old reclusive veteran and widower who spends his days in solitude. These two uprooted men come to recognize their similarities, despite their differences.
