In Entre Ríos, a colony in Argentina at the end of XIX century, there lives Gertrudis, a woman who, to her family and community, has been born ugly, grows up being homely and, finally, becomes an insignificant woman, almost transparent. Ignored by others, Gertrudis does not renounce to watch the world around her with sheer fascination, eager to discover those small signs beauty that we notice only if we pay close attention to what we see around us.
