On the banks of the Nederrijn River is Loowaard, a beautiful stretch of meadow. We see the river flood and take possession of the earth. Then, a season later, traffic signs are straightened and cows graze in the sun: Loowaard is land again, for as long as the river allows. This film follows seven years of these poetic changes, letting the Dutch landscape tell its own story.
